Are you sure the company's policy is Yahoo only? Perhaps they said "like Yahoo", because I cant see the advantage of that unless they have something against google, or that they are worried about being hacked into if you use MSN.
However,If your company has a good system administrator, you cant surf other sites because there will be a record of it in the log file and your system admin will know how to find it. Play it safe and do what they say or pay the consequences.

I am certain this question was not posed by an idiot attempting to violate company policy, and show a total disregard for the damage to company property, integrity, and relationships with co-workers.
This must be a system admin. attempting to identify possible weakness in his IT infrastructure and plug those possible holes.
If you are an employee considering the breach of such meaningful and vital IT policy, I joyfully recommend that you be given the highest IDIOT AWARD with a carefully worded letter to the unemployment office.
However, if you are a system admin.,which I suspect you are, NICE TRY.

unless they are really suspicious of you, they aren't going from computer 1 to 500 each night. If they have a program on the computer that log's your keystrokes, or captures' a picture...again, do they really check them? Of course depending on how much time' your online, they could think your "not working".... but to clear the cache' files is easy. While the browser is open "to yahoo" go to tools, click on internet options..clean temp~~files... cookies, history,etc....sure they might get a little suspicious that YOUR machine is squeeky clean....but then hey "your being productive off the computer...
Course there are other "microsoft" files backed up of your activity.... if you know where to find them and get rid of those... but like I said, most "big" companie's have their computers back up while your sleeping.... if there's no files' that trigger an alarm... no one's the wiser.... btw "I'm the boss" of a 1 employee company..lol... I now supervise my husband... rofl... and no he' can't hide anything that I can't find.

This is actually very easy but I have no intention of divulging this information.
There are many programs out there but do not trust them. Your company will have many ways to check and you need to know where the check files are and I can assure you they are not on your terminal.

Don't do it in the office if you want to keep your job - do it at home or elsewhere.
