hi there, i use aloud.com i was really wary of this as i dont like buying online at all
i too avoided ticket master as they were on watch dog for ripping two young boys out of their leeds fest tickets... so i never go there
i checked out www.aloud.com and they were fantastic!!!
iv bought many tickets from there, some which include buzzcocks, antiflag, uk subs and many more, the most recent being ironmaiden!!!
they are really really good as when i bought them i had to put my details in, they charged a little handleing feeand you had to pay extra for a recorded special delivery which i didnt mind, when i put my order though there was a reciept that i was able to print off, there were tracking numbers for the tickets and what to do if they hadnt arrived the week before.
i ordered my ironmaiden tickets in march, the gig wasnt until december!!! i didnt expect the tickets to arrive two weeks after i had booked them!!!
plus when they were delivered to me i was upstairs in my room and my mum answered the door, she said that she would sign for the tickets as i was busy, the guy said that he wouldnt let her sign as the tickets had to be signed by me, and i had to have photo ID like a passport or a driveing licence ect!!!
i really recommend this site as i, nor my friends have encountered any problems with this site at all!!!
www.aloud.com plus its easy to use!!!
hope you have fun!!!

Yeah go to; www.ents24.com if you register you can put which your favourite bands are and they email you when there's a new tour date. You can follow the links on the site to buy tickets too.
Also, seeing as you're a music lover check out www.last.fm it is a great site and suggests new bands you might like depending on your musical tastes!
Also; www.gigsandtours.com is good for tickets; easy to find what you're looking for!
Good luck and I hope you get some gig tickets!

Ebay.com .... stubhub.com .... I know ticketmaster sticks you with the fees, but they have most shows locked up. Maybe try looking into the box office of the venue you know the band you want to see is playing, and buy them directly. They keep some tickets aside for those who dont want mark ups for ticketbastard, etc...

Seetickets gets most of the main gigs register on the site and the sites of your favorite bands and you'll get updates of up and coming gigs. The main thing is to get there early to beat the carpet baggers
