"What is the real definition of a terrorist?should we give in to them?"

"Terrorist" is one of those subjectively defined words. It sort of depends which side of the stick your on. If you're living in terror because of someone else's choices.... you tend to see those responsible as terrorists.

As to giving in, no... terrorists should be opposed. I wish someone would start going after the terrorists instead of what they're doing now.

The definition of a terrorist is more than adequately covered by your other answers but no we should not give in to them, we should be harder on the people who sent them. I think the idea of sending GW Bush as a peace offering is a fantastic idea!!!

A terrorist is a person who uses any means of violence even it was oral against anybody for personal greeds. A terrorist also tries to impose his opinion on others. A terrorist tries to occupy the lands of other nation. A terrorist tries to abuse his power for the sake of his own greeds such as oil, land, authority, etc.Apart from this , that who defends his country by any means against those who occupy his lands isn`t a terrorist. That who defends himself against an enemy attacking him isn`t a terrorist.

Lets be honest here shall we?

These so called terrorists who are currently in all the headlines have no more of a cause as a mass murderer does. They could not care less about religion, show me any religion that preaches to its people to go out and murder its own, they are interested in glory, glory from their peers. We must never dignify what they do by calling it terrorismn, it is murder plain and simple.

Someone who specifically targets civilians normally for irrational relgious reasons.

Whos end aim is not peace but dominance by that relgion.

Somewhat different to freedom fights fighting economic and military targets or assasanating with the aim of freeing a people from oppression and ending up with peace and fairness and equality

If their aim is morraly fair and justified yes.

Ie piss off out of our country and stop bombing out people.

Ie the chetchen hostage thing in the moscow theatre

Or end apartide or segreation

Say in Northern Ireland it was about equal rights and a united country

Or say in the case of the Standstead Hijackers all they wanted was to escape a countiry where girls were executed for walking in a street withotu a husband, brother or father.

And were actually democracy campaigners in a dictatorship...
in fear of their lives and out of despiration hyjecked the plane to save themselves and family and friends...

they never wanted to hurt anyone.

Personally Id have given them a medal.

Or in East timour fighting the Indonesian who used to decorate fences with hacked off babies heads of the locals.

However islamic terrorists, christian ones, sectarianisim into their fanatical religion wanting to introduce sharia law so they can stone girls to death... burry them in pig blood

Who do you mean them? The UN can't even agree on what a ists is. The US government has a working definition of ist. The muslim world doesn't like it because it doesn't include Israel as ists too.
