Not True. Just because you were abused as a child doe's not mean that you will abuse your children. A lot of children grow up into the Adults that their parents NEVER were. Meaning, not abusing their children, paying more attention, etc.. Don't fret over it, take everything day by day. You'll be GREAT!!!

hey c'mon this is ?????????insanity, crazy and i mean you sound as if you really need help.contrary to the belief most people get into the fact they would never want their children go thru want one has but you are sounding so stupid,be a bit practical and let your kids be proud of you.gather some courage and wake up.
i have a suggestion for you if you read go ahead purchase these books-THE ALCHEMIST BY PAULO COEHLO AND THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI BY ROBIN SHARMA.these two books are very encouraging and i think will make you change your stance best of luck for the future.

I know how you feel. I do not yet have kids, but I was abused as a child and I worry about how I will treat them. I've talked with my husband about it and he tells me I should be fine and I'll never do it since I know how bad it was, but I worry because I have anger issues. I know if I have kids if I even threaten them I want to go to counciling. Its just scary and warped...

if you were abuse, there is a HIGHER CHANCE of you abusing your children in the future because one wants to make up for the pain he/she suffered in the past.

I think people just think whatever was done to you, in the future you will end up doing the same thing because you think its right.

It is most likely true because my husband was and he was to us till he got help. Sorry about your problem.
