it's not just you, it happens to ALL of us :(
in one day i asked 5 questions and only 2 made it onto the main page.

There are little hydrophobic gremlins at Yahoo Answers that quickly hide questions by people with water words in their names. You should take the Rain out and go with a desert sounding name. ;-)
Just an idea.
