Clearly parliament thinks he's doing a good thing by his actions and turn a blind eye. Brown is concerned with finance and he thinks that would save the countries economy. On the other hand parliament could be thinking that if they give him enough rope.....HE WILL HANG HIMSELF.

Ah the power of being an executive minister - that is what it is.

Sadly this is a regressive tax - it will mean that the poor will be priced out of the travel market.

If he is serious about controlling carbon then everyone ought to have carbon allowances - like rationing. Actually this is just another excuse using the environment as a reason for extorting more money from the poor. Those who over consume in terms of energy - who are indeed the rich - like him and his cronies will go - dare I say - Scot Free!

Can you imagine that bunch of freeloaders being limited to only one foreign holiday a year....

This is New Labour they have a divine right to do just what they please,to them it matters little that you may have to pay an extra fifty quid to go on holiday, when Blair or Brown fly anywhere they don't pay we do.Should they have to get their hand down for anything at all they just award themselves a pay rise.

The Greasy Taxgrabber Brown should realise that one day soon the English will take their revenge on him and his cronies - they will be dumped good and proper - trouble is the thieving swines have well feathered their nests/pensions etc.
