There are many famous ballets. A lot of people love Swan Lake, but I'm more of a fan of the Nutcracker. I've been performing in the Nutcracker ballet since I was just seven years old. It's a beautiful story.

The Nutcracker is, I believe, the most famous ballet. Swan Lake and The Nutcracker are not the same ballet (someone thought they were) although both are by Tchaikovsky.

There are lots of fantastic ballets, many of which were adapted for the ballet, some of which were created as ballets in the first place.
copellia, giselle, swan lake were all originally ballets.
Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and many more have all been adapted for the ballet.
Hope this helps your quest!
By the way Bolshoi are a ballet company!
