Because when you have liberal judges on the bench, the type that try and make the laws instead of following the ones on the books, they leave the door open for appeals.
Another problem is that with the two parties not willing to work with each other, the seats remain open because congress will not approve the nominations. The amount of vacancies only lead to a back log of appeal cases that continue to back up.

Because in this country the appeal process takes for ever. Besides all those people on death row are innocent. Ask any liberal. Unless of course it was someone who murdered the family Court System judge who ordered them to live a life of poverty so that their Greedy Vindictive Shrew Ex-wife could fritter away money that should have gone to his childrens education. Then they think he should be fried without trial if possible.

Due process is what they say. The remote chance that even one life would be taken that was innocent makes the process take so long. In the meantime, the prison industry keeps our country going so . like war, its not all that bad when it puts food on the table for so many and has to be done anyway.

Manson is not on death row... Actually he had a parole hearing back in 2002... He was denied for reasons such as drug trafficking, arson, and assaulting guards.
He has another parole hearing this year.

As for those on death row? Fry em'

its a shame they should release everyone from prison. but if we did that they would lose their prison jobs, let them out now and send them all to washington dc. let them clean up the mess made by congress. i say let them run the country maybe they could do a betterjob and end their lives of crime. please give them a chance
