I'm looking at buying a kawasaki Ninja 650R and was wondering what it would cost me to put it on the road ie Registration and insurance and sales tax.

I think you better call your local dealer and find out how much the bike itself costs first, then you can calculate sales tax and find out the registration and tag fees. Don't forget you will also need to buy a quality helmet, jacket, gloves and maybe pants/boots too. Full coverage insurance varies widely and wildly from company to company and bike to bike, could be only $500 with 1 and $1500 from another. I have Geico on a ZX-6R for $500, Progressive wanted $1650, so start dialing or checking their websites for quotes.
