Yes you can. Take it to the Post Office and get the postage checked though, it will probably be more than a single stamp. If you are sending old passports for renewal, send it by Special Delivery. If you don't want to pay the extra, at least ask for a Certificate of Posting which is free.

Yes you can.

I also recommend the post office Check&Send service - it costs about £7, but then your application is fast tracked so you should get it back sooner - 2 weeks instead of 3, (I got mine (a renewal) on day 10). The benefit of the service is that they take everything off you to send to the Passport Office, so then you don't have to pay the recorded delivery postage yourself for all the documents to get to the Passport Office.

If the maximum £32 compensation for a lost recorded delivery is not enough for you, Special delivery costs are from £4.10 upwards. So actually for me, I thought my £7 was well spent.

PS If you want supporting documents returned by recorded delivery you will have to pay extra.

I have just called the Passport Office and the lady who answered said that it was perfectly acceptable to send 2 individual applications in the same envelope, and that they would be handled separately at the Passport Office.

Yep no problem with that if you are posting it yourself. I think if it is done by the Post Office they may insist on separate envelopes.

Call the passport office or e mail, if you have the time and see what they say.

Does it not say anything in the stuff you got from your post office?

As far I know, you have to go to the passport office along with your daughter to proceed with the appliacation.

But if its renewal....I guess you can put the same in one envelope.... But not sure...

You can always call your local passport office to confirm the same.

Best you call them to check - but I should think it would be ok, as you need to send YOUR birth certificate with your application and hers.
