In order for your site to be shown on search engines you need traffic on it first, search engines dont see your site if there is no traffic comming into it
there are many traffic exchanges on the internet that generate traffic for you
the more traffic exchanges you use your site will get the traffic faster

To add and advertisement you need to edit the code and drop in the advertisement code. If you need sources for places that will pay you for advertising, I can help with that.
The next step is to upload your website with FTP to your hosting account.
After that just visit google and yahoo and submit your URL. Keep in mind that depending on what market you are in, your website may never get any traffic from search engines unless you pay for it.

once your site is published, google will spot it by the spiders crawling the web. you can get a high rank if your tags are right, your headlines, and your text. and you will need a lot of backlinks to your site. if you don't, it can take years and you'll be stuck on page 10, if you're lucky. my advice is to use SEO (search engine optimization) software, which costs a lot less than hiring an seo company to do it for you (about $4000-$5000, and even they can't guarantee your spot on google. Use a software that costs about $150, and you will get massive free traffic to your site, every single day. I use this software on all of my sites and there's nothing like it:

There are different softwares out there, but you can also search around each search engine and you will see "Submit a site". Make sure it is optimized for search engines though, very important. I spend a lot of time working on sites and making them SEO.

Hi,
Well, you need to host the site somewhere like godaddy.com and register a domain name there too.
Then get links by doing directory submission for example so your sites gets auto added in Search engines.
