Was just over in Swiss, Austria and would love to find a job there....just wondering how one goes about acquiring a job......thanks!

It highly depends on your qualification. First of all it helps if you speak one of the local languages.

The easiest way to get a job in Switzerland is to be sent by your U.S. employer to Switzerland. Then your employer organizes the required permits.

If you have a very special qualification you could also apply for a job in Switzerland directly. To pursue this option you should really be an expert on your field. Otherwise the employer will most likely prefer a local candidate to avoid all the work permit und cultural issues. Remember the Swiss have numbers of well qualified banking and management professionals.

If you are below 30 years old you can benefit from an agreement for the exchange of young professional between the U.S. and Switzerland. Under this agreement you would get a limited work permit. This would give you a chance to apply for junior jobs for example an internship. Contact the Swiss consulate Washington for details about the program.

well it is not that difficult to find a banking job if you have good qualification amd knowledge about local language. You can try searching fiancejoboard for more finance job options in Switzerland.
