The name of the town is Kolonyci. Would that sound correct? This is a town just inside the Ukranian border on the west central border of the Ukraine close to the province region or district of Lubaczow (5 km) in Poland and in the Province region or district of Lviv in the Ukraine.

It may matter most as to what it was called WHEN, to best answer your question. I do a lot of genealogy work online as a volunteer, tracing family trees and US census records.

I think the other guy had it right, though--Kolonyci it may be known as now, Kolintsi, Kolentsy, or a similar name, at one time.

See this entry from a different poster, who seems to know what the facts are, at genealogy.com:

If you need to know this for genealogy purposes, I may be able to help you find out where the records are that you need for your family members, no matter what the city is/was called or what country it's in now.
