I might be wrong but noone is perfect and we all have freedon of speech here in the U.S, so before you make a decision please think for a moment!!!

Lately I have been doing alot of readings on how to become the Alpha Male that every women loves to be with. The other day I was flipping through the channels when I came across House M.D. I had watched the show twice before (thats before I was doing all the Alpha male readings). While I was watching the show I realized several things. One, why would a doctor carry a cane, why would he not be in a white suit, and why are all the people he interacts with women.

House plays a character of an Alpha male! Yes, An Alpha male, Think back. He is mysterious, Calm, Adventrous, leader, always wants his way, and never gives an straight answer. Most his interactions is with women, and his cane is to make him differenciate among other doctors in the office.

These are all characters of an alpha male! Does that change your ming about the show?

No.

He uses the cane because he would fall down if he didn't. He tried once to do with out it and he fell over.

As for the people around him, they are mostly male: Wilson, Foreman , and Chase. Of course he is not going to sleep with any of them so he will be around some women: Cuddy and Cameron.

He does not wear the white jacket because he does not want to answer the questions of patients. He does not want to answer their questions because they tend to be stupid, and they tend to lie to him. He doesn't like that.

Let me clue you in, House is Sherlock Holmes as a doctor. House - Holmes. Get it.

He is s drug addict with a genius mentality. He was wronged by his one true love, so he is skeptical about women. He is disabled, hence the cane. he was abused as a child, therefore , he is slow to trust others, and completely resistant to order and discipline. He pays for sex because his hip has been mutilated by surgery. He takes so much vicodin because he likes being permanently high and it helps him deal with the constant physical pain he is in.

He is not mysterious because he keeps telling people things about himself. he is just guarded in how he talks to them.

He is far from calm, merely sedated.

The adventurous part is right but that is his addictive behavior manifesting itself in other ways.

And as for always wanting his own way. That was explained. You only have so many hours to save a life and if you waste a moment the patient dies. He is disabled because others took too long to find what was wrong with him and nearly killed him in the process. he is in the position he is in because he knows more than others and because he is aggressive in his pursuit of finding the cause of a patient's illness. They have tried to prove that he is not God but they keep finding he is at least godlike. He keeps being right.

You want to call him the alpha male. Fine, but Wilson is sleeping with all the girls. Cuddy is running the hospital. And, he never asked for all this attention. It is just the way his life works out.

House represents a fictional character -- no MD has that kind of bedside manner, arrogance, etc, or else he would pretty much be isolated from the rest of the medical community. House pretty much has zero respect for patients, colleagues, and superiors -- do you think one could survive in ANY profession having that kind of attitude? Plus, all of his cases are incredibly obscure pathologies and infections that most doctors would never encounter during their career.

So, just keep that in mind when you're analyzing his character, because he's not exactly an accurate representation of a physician, and I think the show is more for entertainment than exact portrayal of a real-life hospital scenario.

Alpha means first in order of importance and all women are NOT looking for that. House is about his ability to solve tough medical cases. You're reading too much into it.
