Anti incumbency is the term largely used during elections. What does that mean?

An "Incumbent" is the person who currently holds the office. So when they run for reelection, they are the incumbent candidate.

I imagine that anti-incumbency would refer to those who wish to replace the incumbents. I guess you could also use the word "challenger" to describe this person.
