Yes, the essence of our being is unconditional love.We have union with God in unconditual love within our heart. (in spirit) "God dwells within you as you". You are the life that animates the body, spirit. As the colors of the rainbow are contained within sunlight, so to are we all contained within the light of Gods love.

The only people that can unconditionally love are the mentally ill. "Unconditional" means your children can steal all your money for drugs, burn your house down, rape you or your wife, and you still love them.
Or to be less extreme, they could be Hitler and you still love them.
