Please help. My boyfriend needs a new bag to take to work. He currently uses a canvas sachel type bag that is falling to peices so I want to buy him a new one as a present.
I have looked around and found some similar ones but also seen some leather ones.
Should I get him the canvas bag or a leather bag?

It depends how he dresses for work, though I think leather would work around and it lasts and lasts and lasts

Canvas man bags are in fashion at the moment, and you can get some very trendy ones in surf shop, like quicksilver and rip curl, if you don't want to spend money on designer names there are some cool looking ones in the army surplus shop.

I remember YEARS AGO...Good LEATHER Bags were purchased in Mexico and they never ever worn out...

I would have thought a canvas one would be good. A friend of mine has a canvas man bag and he takes it everywhere.

Just that it has to be called a "man bag" shows there's nothing manly about t. Men have sports kit bags or rucksacks. If they're a poncey suit type, they might have a briefcase.
Please, save his dignity and get him a SPORTS bag. Even if he doesn't do sport, even if he doesn't go to the gym. Even if he doesn't even do something girly like pilates.

Oh god, don't get him a "man bag"!! A holdall or briefcase would be sooo much better! There's only one type of man bags that I like, and that the ones in their trousers! lol
