A sunset in the desert, daybreak in a forest, my mom's macaroni-n-cheese, The salty spray of the ice cold sea of the Cape, good red wine, the call of a fish eagle, freshly baked bread, the smell of a truck's diesel on the long road, to stand on top of a mountain, to open a fresh envelope of photos, a cup of coffee, a campfire at the crack of dawn, the smell of my girlfriend's hair, my dad's warm course hands, the stare of a lion, to run in the rain, the Celtic song of a seagull, home-cooked apricot jam, the smell of the Karoo after a thunderstorm, the cool underside of my pillow in summer, maps, more maps, to learn a new word, rain on a roof, the exitement before a long journey, to sleep late in winter, to watch people, to teach and trade knowledge, Amstel lager, a lekker braai, a friendly welcome, a hot bath, a horse in full gallop, mountain water and the memories of my dad when he was still alive.
That's just me...
