With all this council tax rebates, due to the houses being incorrectly banded I was just wondering how I could find out how much the house was worth back in 1991.

Click on to LAND REGISTRY and you will have all the information going back to when the house was built.

I agree with Ginger - Nationwide Building Society have an online calculator - tho regional in scope.
www.nationwide.co.uk Also www.moneysavingexpert.co.uk is a good source of info too.

Consider asking neighbours around your area and/or visiting
1. Estate agents
2. Your library which keeps old newspapers for research purposes.

This is something difficult but u can analyze it.First of all u have to find out ur house's current value and u have to subtract that money with the rate of interest u get of 16yrs.but u have to make sure that there is not much development in ur area since 1991.otherwise u can not get the actual figure.in that case u have to contact to any real estate agent.
