its close but even as a man u fan - i give the edge to lehmann :(
van der sar is steady and dependable but lehmann has a greater ability to pull off the occasional seemingly impossible game-winning save

Lehmann gets my vote, although both are excellent keepers. That run last year in Champions League of no goals over several games was not all him, granted, but he played a key role, especially when you consider the young guns who were in front of him at the time (remember the injuries?)
Also, the entertainment value of Lehmann is almost second to none. He's taking the piss most of the time, IMHO.
