1. Search "Message board" (Google);
2. Select "Amazing Forums-Free Message Boards for your Webpages";
3. Click on "Amazing Free Forums";
4. Choose "Everything you need to find". Here are the points you should analyze:

(A) "everything" is a "big" non-specific term, which gives the client no idea of what is being offered;
(B) the whole message reads:

[Everything you need to find] that perfect work at home job. From resume services to job directories. Increase your changes of finding employment today."

(a) "perfect": another "big", non-specific term;
(b) "changes": a misprint, which reveals careless (or no) proof-reading; the word the author wanted to convey is obviously "chances" (maybe not so obvious to a lot of people, especially from other countries); remember this is on the Internet;
(c) internal contradiction: first, the ad draws your attention to a once-in-a lifetime offer (to find the perfect work at home job); however, the information they will provide may simply "increase your chances of finding employment";
(d) "increase your chances of finding employment today": no one can make such a claim or promise; the ad is totally misleading;

(C) Select the following ad for your analysis:

"Competitive price high quality steroid oral tabs for body-builder":

(A) to the point (different from the previous ad): no misleading words (cf. "everything"; "today"), no adjectives (cf. "perfect");
(B) specific self-descriptive terms: "competitive price"; "high quality"; "steroid oral tabs"; "for body-builder".

The French language began to influence English after the Norman Conquest so you need to start looking at that time period. Due to the Monarchy, aristocracy,political and legal areas of our culture being controlled by the Norman invaders, it was made compulsory for all nobles and legal documents to use French. Words that we can still find in use today that are Norman French in origin are 'Jury', Proclamation', 'Bishop' - in fact many of our words which relate to power and authority were originally imposed on us by the French. Any book on the history of the English language will document this for you. Easy to read books on language are those written by David Chrystal and Bill Bryson. It might be worth you looking at the incidence of Norman French words still in use in the 21st century as a starting point.
