hi, im new on here and would like some advice. My husband and i have been trying for a baby for a couple of months now and my periods since i came off the pill have been regular. I am now 4 days late and i took a test before i was due as i am very impatient and also i have taken 3 more tests which have all been negative but im not sure of the quality of these tests as someone got them from their place of work for me. Anyone have any knowledge of clearview tests? and how early they can be used? Anyway surely if i was pregnant it would be showing positive by now, wouldnt it?

Home pregnancy tests are touchy things. If they have expired, if you put too much pee on them, or if you put too little pee on them, they just don't work.

Also, this early in a pregnancy, you would have to take the test first thing (first pee) in the morning to see some results.

Furthermore, a lot of women simply don't have enough pregnancy hormones at this stage to trigger a positive results.

Therefore, I suggest taking a new test, first thing in the morning. Make sure to check the expiration date and follow the instructions exactly.
If you're still in doubt, you can ask your doc for a blood test.

Note that stress and extreme eagerness to be pregnant can also affect your cycle.
Best of luck!

BTW: A lot of pregnancy tests claim you can see result really early, but that doesn't mean they actually do. LOL. They can claim all they want...

My gf used to use clearview test even though she uses morning after pills. Just in case you know. :) Its a reliable test but you should seek a professional advice. See your doctor and ask. It will be the best advice you can have if you are planning to have a baby.

Some tests work 5 days before your missed period, try taking one as soon as you get up in the morning and go to the bathroom. Good luck my husband and I have been trying for months too, and I was taking the pill when I got pregnant with our daughter!

Pregnancy tests don't usually work until you're about a week late. I know it's tempting to do the tests straight away, but wait for another 3 days and then do one more test. If it still shows as negative you could either visit your GP for another opinion, or it could just be hormones settling down.

hey kerry
You need to calm down, cause if you are preggie then it's not good for baby, and if you are not, stressed is not condusive to conception. You need to slow down and enjoy this wonderful time in your life and take on a what will be, will be attitude. i have had my babies and would love love love to be where you are right now, this is the stuff memories are made of. ENJOY !
