if the Lady G above me is right about what your question translates as...clownfish survive because they have special properties in their slime coat that the anemone does not view as food. that's one theory anyway, theres a few floating around and it's been hotly debated!

(every fish has a slime coat that protects them from disease etc, if you touch a fish, you damage this slime coat)

I don't know what the answer is, but I figured out the question! The question is, how does a clown fish live in an anemone without being hurt?

are you trying to kill the crown fish and you are upset because it will not die? if so, ingest some of the poison yourself and tell us what happens?
