I recently purchased an original pair of 501's. Every time i wash them they bleed like you wouldn't believe. Someone suggested I boil them in saltwater to set the colour - this didn't work.

I've read some comments online about vinegar - does this work?

I want to master this technique before I buy another pair so that I can set the colour on those at the darkest possible shade.

Washing jeans is a sin :) doesn’t take me wrong; lots of washing will definitely damage your jeans. It is the only apparel that looks best when worn out badly. Otherwise wash it in cold water with mild detergent in side out, DO NOT machine dry it, let it dry naturally and completely. And am sure there must be some washing instruction with your jeans.

No it does not exist. In case you are bleeding from a cut, you might tear out a web page from a bible and use it to cover the wound. A bandage would be higher and more sanitary. In case you are speakme about menstruation, once more you could tear out pages from the bible and use them to stem the waft. A sanitary serviette or tampon would do it much better. In spite of everything, see a healthcare professional in case you or your loved ones has a massive main issue. Men and women have died waiting for bible verses or prayers to work.

Vinegar is helpful, yes. It has to be done upon the first washing though. But if you're really serious, dry clean them.
