I`ve attended a lecture on this topic, and the conclusion was:
Yes it`s deffinitely possible although very very expensive and effort demanding. However if we start using all our resources for research and space construction now, Mars could be made habitable as soon as year 2350 !!! This is how long it takes to develop technology and preform terraforming. Terraforming is the process that fixes all the problems that the previous pessimistic guy mentioned :) like water, oxigen, CO2, temperature and vegetation...
Just think how nice would it be if US started spending 100 bil $ a year for space research instead of war. Sci-fi techologies are all there within our reach just waiting to be researched. Waiting and waiting...

Yes ,the scientists who are doing some research with the help of the Rovers on Mars, have come to the conclusion that Mars had once supported life but that life must have got destroyed due to Pathfinder 1 and 2 which reached Mars in 1976.
Mars can be made fit for human habitation by sending cloud spouters which will sprout gases leading to the formation of rain and eventually an atmosphere of oxygen will develop on mars.

No, according to Science the condition of Mars is not fit for us. 1. Mars has so many volcano, which are 65% active and can anytime blast and it also includes the universe's highest volcano. The Olympus. 2. It has frozen water in the form of rivers but if we drink that killer water then you will absolutely die in a minute or two. 3. over there storms, dust stroms and different things happen which can easily tuck of a house from its surface. 4. the earthquake are very frequent but always major.
5. air contains larege quantities of carbon dioxide.
6. Very hot.It is the fourth planet from the Sun.
7. Gravity is not sufficient according to the requirement.
Therefore, all the points of life have been erased by these points.

Mars is currently uninhabitable for most earth life. With some sort of habitat humans could live and work there, but it would take a lot of adaptation and an artificial environment.

For one thing Mars is much colder than Earth. For another its atmosphere is too thin for just about any animal life and most plants. Some kinds of moss or lichen could survive, but an artificial environment could make the planet habitable for more developed life forms up to and including humans.

im in a pupils colloqium at college of maryland, and my professor works for NASA and pronounced that there is alot of study being finished approximately terraforming mars. this is somewhat manipulating the ambience to act like earths so as that finally people might have the potential to stroll around without area kit or something. extra realistically, individuals are meant to realize mars by potential of 2020, yet no date is desperate for colonies or everlasting existence on mars (in all risk yet another 50 years). additionally this date won't ensue by using fact the two applicants for president will in all risk decrease nasa investment... shop questioning approximately area!
