if your motherbord has an IDE2 port, connect Primary HD and Primary ROM Drive to IDE1 with a primary, slave IDE cable. And join another HD to IDE2 port with a single cable. Don't forget to set jumper settings and BIOS.

If you want to take a really easy route, you can get an exxternal hard drive enclosure. Basically it is a box that you insert your hard drive into and plug it into your PC via USB.

If you want to keep the HArd drive INSIDE your PC, there may be extra mounting space just under your floppy drive if it is an ATX tower.

Add another PCI EIDE I\O card. They are fairly cheap, and in most cases plug n' play.
Whatever you do, do not add a hard drive to a EIDE channel with a CD\DVD on it. The channel will run at the much slower speed of the ROM drive.
