there weren't much skills involved? I think that when two team get scores like 4-4, or 2-2.. means that their skills are more likely the same... so they win only by luck ?

Heng wad.....i guess there was not much involved cos many of the games they won were on penalties, even the last one when they vs thai. They beat malaysia cos of a penalty shootout, they won indonesia because of an og and previous asean cups matches were mostly won by penalties, you may not realise, especially penalties on crucial moments, even on the latest game, where the striker dived and was awarded a penalty. I guess there weren't much skills involved from the imported players. And the commentator kinda sucks dont u think? The lions should learn more about the game and not win matches in a feminine way.

Yeah i kinda agree with Tan, because there is money, cash prize involved here. Im sure they were desperate to win, with money involved. To them, especially the imported players, which is quite a number in the team, soccer is more like an employment, a chance to earn money rather than for the love of the sport. But if they had enough dignity, it wouldn't hurt ending with draws rather than diving in penalty boxes right? The credit they are getting only applies to cash credits. Not supports.

Yea, if you take a closer look at the game, malaysia played a much better soccer. Sure the spirit to fight back is always present, taking into account that sg was host. But the ultimate winning solution was often always a short cut penalty. I repeat, often....yea..so in terms of skills, malaysia is better. In fact indonesia was much better considering sg to be a hosting team. So its kinda dissapointing to win on penalties. Esp controversial ones, which always happens in the late 2nd. It kinda lose the spirit.

Soccer is the most unpredictable sport, as not only skill is involved. Luck play a part, home support play a part, players commitment play a part, even referee also play a part. It's not important how a team win, by penalty, or supreme goals. Most important is the players desire to win, and won the game. For both match, Singapore Vs Malaysia; Singapore Vs Thailand, Singapore players are going all out to win, and they won. A credit should be given to them.

There's so much variation between UU groups as well as within them. Best rule of thumb may be to think in terms of the liberal side of your local community and what their interests tend towards. My guess is that your emphasis on honour and how that influences the way you live your life would be good. My impression is that you have both a strong sense of individual and of community within your tradition, that might really appeal if you're able to convey it well. Not just core beliefs (per your usual talk) but central values, the whys as well as the whats. Depending on the area, there might be pagans from other paths at your talk and some of them might want to get into a discussion about the differences or something like that. Hopefully you won't get a self-appointed guardian of all things pagan attending.... %-) I know you'll be able to handle it, but just a heads up to the possibility. Link below to the UU Principles. Some groups use the language in them a lot, others barely touch on it, but in general the ideas should be familiar territory. You could probably fill your entire time talking about the ways they're expressed (through action as well as words) in your tradition.
