Ther is always a cost to everything and education isnt free someone has to pay for it. If the student cant the govt must and I think in some countries there is a culture of assisting people (whether they deserve it or not) if those people may be useful to those making the decisions. This means that the relatives of Govt officials/ important business men/ professionals like doctors and lawyers and perhaps even religious leaders, will be given priority because their family's have some ability to influence the fortunes of the govt. I think its slightly different for sport but costs are still the problem. I dont know where the places are that you are talking about but the selectors need to put forward the best team available all the time, so as to get the most from the huge expenses involved and to avoid any embarrassing poor performances. High level -particularly national/international level games- is not the place to be trying out someone. They need to prove their ability and therein lies the problem that if they are in more remote area the local competions will not allow them to properly display their talents but it is too costlly and time consuming to have to regularly travel great distances to compete in a stronger competition that will let them show how good they are and also help strengthen their talents. Ultimately it is the responsibility of individuals to overcome/endure the hardships necesary to attracting the attention of selectors unfortunately not everyone can.

BCCI is the richest of all the cricket playing nations.BCCI raised nearly million 500$ from Nimbus for giving its braod casting rights. i dont find any problem with selection or money. We must accept that indians are physically weaker than other people and that's the reason they are able to win matches easily against countries like pakistan and Srilanka.
to be honest there is no talent in this country.

There is no problem with the selection procedures, but what ails the Indian team is there is no hunger for success, instead we have bunch of guys hanging on without any appettite for success.Look at the Aussies, the pride they have in wearing the the Baggy Green!!.Our guys just lack that attitude, for them fame, money, commercials always take the front seat than the pride of representing the country and giving the best.

In Cricket, Indian Board is the richest. Like you everyone wants people from their state only. Try & see beyond your state. M.S.Dhoni is not a rich person and not from a developed state like you. You should appreciate that, rather than cribbing for Tamilnadu. Only Tamilnadu people are not talented.

Our Country Does Not lack Talent...But it is full of talented people... the only thing which lack is the proper system of law....and our whole system is filled with corrupt politician...From Chief Minister to Home Mininster.. all are filled with corruption...None of the politician (you may say 98%) work for the betterment of the country or people... they work for government because they get bribery...am not saying all the unit are corrupted... there may be some good government employee also...The day the bribery is cutdown from our country...from that day itself we shall be the most advanced country...
