select the make and model of your pc; don't buy generic memory modules

Before you buy you must make sure what kind of RAM memory you require. Older PCs use DIMMs, newer ones EDO, SDRAM, DDR, DDR2. To make sure, check your motherboard's manual carefully.
You mentioned 'Edinburgh' without making it clear if you only want to buy it in Edinburgh. I suspect you can find a PC World there. But I would shop online to get the best price. Memories are relatively light and postage is usually not high. Try www.microdirect.co.uk

The best sites I know of are scan and ebuyer, check both. Also savastore might be able to do a good deal as they often have free delivery.

try www.ebuyer.co.uk

So far they are they cheapest I have discovered.

Or you can try www.pricegrabber.co.uk Its a price comparison site and you can often find things cheaper there.

I have never used it for RAM, but I found the TV I wanted for £700 less than the high street price.
