If you have an online connection just put in the xbox game into your 360 and see if it does an automatic update. If it does then it should work after that. Also, you can check websites to see the compatability list.

You need to go to the website and look at the list of currently compatable games, you'll also need to get the update for it so they will work. Its quite a big list of games - but it didn't contain my fave x box game of chronicals of riddick

There is some kind of problem with the video cards used by the orginal xbox and the 360 which means they have to use an emulater to make them work.

Having just got a 360 myself and selling my old Xbox i can tell you that not all games play on the 360. It is a process called backwards compatability. Go to the microsoft website and follow the link for a full list of compatible games

i contacted microsoft over this, as we thought it was something we had or hadn't done! They told me that they are doing everything they can to update the catalogue of xbox games to work on xbox360, but it averages as 1 per week!!!
We have over 70 games for xbox (all original!) and only 1 works on 360!!!

Well all you need is the hard disk drive (HDD) which, if you got the core system you'll have to buy seperately. But if you have it, then you can just pop em in and play!
