I have tried to connect a new Humax 8000T recorder to a TV/DVD combi but could not get get any signal coming through on the AV channel.

Could it be anything to do with the Scart on the Combi being OUT
or any other suggestion on why it is not working.

Does anyone have this model connected to a Combi and working?
If so what make and model Combi?

Yep the out is just for the signal to go to another machine, therefore you will be unable to connect via scart.

If you combi has the yellow / red / white connect and the humax does too then that is the best connection. Otherwise you are looking at using the coxial ( normal ariel ).

Hope this helps you out

hi there, on most combis that are made up of tv and dvd there is usually only one scart out. this is to allow connection of an auxillary tv recieving the dvd signal whils you watch something else on the combi tv, email me if you require more details!
