You cannot have rights if there is no country left we must be safe and secure sometimes means cooperate with authority not fight them

The sentence you began this with is one of the most scary things i hear almost daily.

If you have nothing to hide then why worry about "big brother" watching you?

well one good reason is that it doesn't take actually having something to hide, just one of the Nazis that serve the state THINKING you have something to hide could wreck your life.

That doesn't begin to mention that we have rights, our rights and our freedom are much more important than our safety.

Our rights and freedom and the rights and freedom of my children are more important than my safety or the safety of my children.

Have we become such a fat, lazy and cowardly nation that the words "Give me liberty or give me death" have no meaning?

Have we reached the point where being a well cared for and safe slave is enough for us?

I weep for us if so, it was a good but short lived civilization we had.

You have no idea what you are advocating by laying down your rights without a fight to preserve them! Governments that are allowed to invade personal privacy are: China, Venezuela, Cuba, Brazil, No.Korea,...seeing anything in common here?
We must make our LawMakers and Justice System uphold our Constitutional Rights! Everybody's always all hot about the Rights to bear arms and the NRA keeps hand guns on the street. So, you'd think, we could rally around this obvious " unsanctioned intrusion"
(adj. - Without explicit official permission).
Please Americans! Make your Senators and House Reps stop the dictator type government Bush is pushing for! VETO! VETO! VETO! IT!
Defined by Oxford Dictionary:
pri·va·cy (prī'və-sē)
n.

The quality or condition of being secluded from the presence or view of others.
The state of being free from unsanctioned intrusion: a person's right to privacy.

Glad you feel that way, Taylor; my cop buddies and I think you have something illegal in your home. Mind you we don't know what or where it is, so we will just search through everything you own. Excuse me, while I search your underwear drawer, while my buddy reads your letters, while the other officer goes through your check book, wallet, etc. and makes a list of all your creditors so we can check with them about your spending habits. After we're done with your house we will have to take your car apart, never know what we'll find hidden the there.

Don't worry about your privacy, I'll never tell anyone about the leather underwear or your mushy love letters to "coochi poo" or the fact that you are over limit on your Visa. . .

Getting the message yet, Taylor. . .

That is kind of like saying that you are only guilty if you get caught!
