Read a book, learn to dance, go places with your child, learn a language, learn to play piano, exercise, learn to cook a new kind of food, watch classic movies, read with your kid, write letters to people you haven't been in touch with for awhile. There's lots to do...it's just a matter of getting creative and being curious enough to do things other than the mindless activities of tv and computer! May God watch over your family. I hope your husband gets to come home soon! God bless.

Come up with some new hobbies, or revive some old ones you have put aside. Try something new, like learning a new language, scrapbooking, building something, etc. You could also have some fun baking with your child.. something easy like rice crispies or cookies where he/she can pick cookie cutters and make fun shapes. Make a snowman! Take your child sledding (go on the sled with them)... You have TWO YEAR OLD!!! That is THE BEST! They're getting to that curious age, take them outside and explore the world from their point of view!
Try some new recipies (www.kraftfoods.ca/kf is good) or some new crafts (www.familyfun.com).

For reasons I dont really want to go into in public I have some free time right now too and no job just yet. This isn't a hit..... I have great respect for our military.... but I do really enjoy meeting new people and making friends. Why dont we chat on Yahoo Messenger a little bit... I live in Montana but I am interested in Alaska and might have some questions for you about that. My IM ID is mattdpickett. PEACE! Im on Messenger now.

Is there somewhere you can volunteer? Nothing is more fulfilling than volunteer work, in my opinion. I've volunteered at homeless shelters, health organizations, nursing homes, animal welfare organizations, child abuse advocacy centers, and several other places. I have found each experience to be very unique.

Also, have you considered adopting a dog from your local shelter or dog rescue? That would be a great idea, plus, you'll be saving lives!!

You could go to the movies. You could get together with your friends and do random things, like see a play at the local play house. You could go downtown and sightsee. You can travel or visit family elsewhere. Do whatever you can think of and look up places to go and visit on the internet.
