What are you running? which system you're using? PC or MAC? please give me more details so i can help you.
If you running Microsoft windows try defragmenting or emptying disk memory: click on
Start
All Programs
Accesories
system tools
*disk clean-up
*disk defragmenter...click on 'defragment'

There are many fans in your computer, not just the one in the power supply. It's probably a fan. Sometimes vacuuming the back of your computer helps, but take precautions not too vacuum other parts. Make sure you keep your computer free of dust or lint and make sure there is enough room; don't suffocate the computer.

Computer can get noices from cooling fans, HDD, CD Drive, and sometime floppy drive.If noice came from HDD, it is mean your HDD will damage.
