Yes I do,every time I look in the mirror. My family's been in, and, around Kaintucke before it was even recognized as a territory. We ran around there with another hick named Daniel Boone, and even had a Fort named after us. There are 2 towns in A.R. named after us and 1 in M.O. Since the late 1600's, early 1700's, my kin folk have been running around the hills of one part of this country or another. My dad's a great hick, I.Q above 180, Doctorate from Brown University, Phi Beta Kappa. Only had one B in his whole life. That was in high school and the teacher looked at him and said I never give A's out. Thank goodness for hicks. A Country Boy Will Survive.

Yes, I do. I am a Washington State hick (raised on a farm and grew up running in the 'sticks') and an Idaho red-neck (wear a belt with my name on it as a form of identification for the police). I drink beer while I fish, have a 4 wheel drive pickup, a dog, guns, and consider the phrase "Yunto?" as a valid question in the English language, to be followed by, "cursido" (not to be confused with anything from the Spanish language).

Hicks and redknecks are seperate things (although a hick can BE a redneck) kinda like homies and ***&as

And you don't have to be southern to be a hick. We got plenty here in Ohio (even the ones NOT from WV) and I seen plenty in the frozen wastes of Minnesota and South Dakota and even Washington State had its share of hicks and waaaay many rednecks around Seattle and down in Portland, OR

but to answer your question:
no, never heard of 'em

I live in a tiny town in south georgia. Everyone there is a redneck. My whole family and me are farmers from the south, we all have an accent. We're all rednecks and damn proud of it. I wouldn't call me or any of my family members a hick cause they'd be offened.

One of the worst delivered the "State of the Union" speech recently, and this time he even knew the name of it, suprisingly. He was sober - incredibly enough - and even spoke almost 5th grade English at a barely passable level!

I believe they prefer appalachian-americans and yes I do. Kind of married into them. They just have not figured out I am Mexican yet.
