Internet speed is variable and depends on many factors. The time you have connected, the site your trying to browse, the traffic on that site, the traffic on your line etc.
So if you want to get real time status on the speed of your internet connection go to www.download.com and download du meter which would give you real time upload and download on your system.
You can also start stop watches which would tell you the average speeds both in and out.
Apart from that you would have daily, weekly and monthly data transfer reports.

LMAO all these sites, why not just go to the double computer screen icons at the bottom right of your screen or go into connections and just drag over the connection it will then tell you how fast your connection speed is at this time

When you connect, your speed should flash up, if not go to the bottom right of your screen and double-click on the computer icon, it will bring up a pop-up with the info on it.

internetfrog.com is the quickest, yet provides the most info. And you can then call your provider with the details as this is the one most of them use.
