I spend at least 1 hour a week to a call centre in India trying to get things sorted out when it does its weekly crash. Customer conplaints in UK put me on hold for 19 minutes is this a new record?
Any alternative solutions that do not involve putting a wok on the side of my house. NTL never answer the phone.

I had a lot of trouble getting my home hub to work properly, but eventually found that the trouble was with the Norton Firewall. It seems that the automatic installation doesn't always work properly if you have had a previous version of Norton installed and one of the earlier BT voyager modems. And the Indian call centre won't advise on setting up the firewall. So check your firewall settings. You will find some internet forums on the problem. As for 19 minutes wait - thank your lucky stars you didn't get mixed up with Bulldog. They didn't answer phones or letters, and even my phone stopped working as well as the Broadband.

Migrate to Zen broadband. None of this home hub nonsense which is untried and untested and patently doesn't work. See http://www.zen.co.uk/broadband/ZenBroadband.aspx . Zen are always at the top of the customer satisfaction league tables and I for one am a very happy customer and have been for years.
