I am personally furious! Not only am I a huge Adult Swim fan, but I am a 9/11 survivor that doesn't take this nonsense lightly! I watch ATHF all the time and just can't imagine what these people were thinking!!!!

No snide remarks, please!

Phrases like 'get over it' aren't necessary. All I can say is thank God you never had to go through something so horrible!

As another survivor, I can honestly say, you are not alone. Upset, yes. Surprised, unfortunately, no.

I am afraid that this is only going to contribute to our national lack of wariness. We cannot live in fear, but we do not seem to have a healthy level of taking practical steps toward protecting ourselves while going about our business. This is going to erode our sense of realistic vigilance, which will make us, in the name of either political correctness, or fear of being scorned as cowardly, more susceptible to actual violence by those who hate us and still plan to destroy us as soon as we let our guard down.

9/11 shouldn't even come into this. They were Lightbrites hung on some solid steel structures. It was a LED light board powered by four D batteries. They were up for two to three weeks across the country. I am not denying 9/11 wasn't a tragedy but it has everyone so deeply rooted with the fear of another impending attack that something like this gets blown way out of proportion. There shouldn't be any fury directed toward adultswim or the advertising company. It should be the citizens and the authorities who are to blame for missing these "bombs" for so long. It just shows how unprepared for another attack the States actually is.

Furious? Yes. That Sean Stevens and Peter Berdovsky are made the stooges because the officials in Boston duped themselves into a bomb scare and wasted so much money. C'mon, common sense say if you are going to plant a bomb on a road way you don't use something decked with a big neon light. People are still in such a "hide your head in the sand, the sky is falling" state of fear they will create terrorist and threats from anything. It would have been an expensive but ineffective promotion(apparently no one really noticed)had the fear monger Boston officials not got into the act. And just because they made fools of themselves they are trying to relabel it a hoax, as to place blame on someone other than their own stupidity. If you see a weather balloon and go tearing down the street in your car and crash it, it is your own fault because you believed it to be something else. A ghost, monster, UFO etc.

I'm not "furious" but I do wonder what whoever put the idea together was thinking.
This is not a time to be stashing small, black, electronic boxes in major cities! What's next? Unattended luggage left in Airports?
The good thing that came out of it is the people of Boston must feel a little better...the response to the perceived threat was pretty impressive.

Well I'm not from Boston, so not really....BUT I understand where they are coming from. You don't put things like that on bridge overpasses and such. But if YOU knew they were Aqua Teen Hunger Force characters, then why are you so mad?

yeah it was a tragedy but its been a while and people make fun of tragic things all the time. its how they deal with it and move on. i suggest you do the same. deal with it and move on.
