Assuming the SmartAX broadband modem is how you receive Internet access at home:

You buy a wireless router and connect it to the modem (run the network cable to the wireless router instead of directly to your laptop)

If your laptop has a built-in Wifi card, you're all set. If your laptop doesn't have that capability, you'd have to spend another $40 and obtain a wireless network card for it.

Initially you'd connect a 2nd network cable between your laptop and the wireless router, just to configure the settings and make sure your laptop's wireless settings match. Once you've done that, you can remove the cable and enjoy wireless Internet access, all around the house :)
