What do you say to a German woman whose husband and two sons died in that war and then she starved to death. Because her pension would not buy her enough to live. The Germans did not exactly start the war. They all did. And many died obscenely because of it. Vengeance does not always play out well for anyone. And it certainly does not return the fallen to their families. Read the damn thing. read about the distasteful hustle that attended its composition.
