Say I'm having lunch with a woman that I don't know too well, maybe a work colleague and she says something negative about herself (weight for example), is it a good idea to disagree? What I mean is, do woman actually get annoyed if someone says 'you don't have any weight to lose'.

Just curious.

I think that you should just be open about it. You're 2 adults and can handle the situation. If all else fails just whip out a witty quote from someone wise....

I don' t have any problems with my weight, but I suggest that you don't give any opinion and if she askes you for a suggestion just tell her that if it is a problem for her, to take care of it with a good diet!!!!
Buon Appetit!!!!!

You should be sporty & if it's not really too obvious ,you shou;ld be positivbe with strangers. If the problem is really obvious, you can not close your eyes & can not compliment just for sake of it.
