I have olive skin...like any other native american. Long dark brown hair and brown eyes..also a slightly big forehead. I am just puzzled about what you do with my make-up. I don't know what would look good on me. Puzzled by mainstream advice.

You don't need much make up at all! Try to play up your eyes with slightly dark browns, rose-colored eyeshadows are great with olive skin tone! A little mascara and eyeliner and you should be good to go! If you use foundations and powders, try Clinique...its a little pricey but worth it. But if you're on a budget, try Maybelline Dream Matte mousse.
I don't wear alot of make-up myself, but I do play up my eyes with a little eyeshadow and eyeliner....not too much though, just enough to notice there's a little color on my eyelids!

I agree w/ some of the earlier responses, Native American women are naturally beautiful, but if you want to wear makeup, I would just play up your eyes just a little, just a little black eyeliner and mascara. I had a friend, she's Crow, and she used black eyeliner one day and drew kind of a cat-eye look, and it looked awesome! But lining just the top of your eye can really bring out the dark brown color. If you want to try eyeshadow, try neutral colors, or give bright colors a try, you never know what will look great! And have a good friend, whose opinion you trust, to take a look at your finished "look." You may think colors look weird on you, but that's because you look at yourself everyday and aren't used to seeing different colors! Good luck!

Me too. I never wore it until recently and I'm afraid when following what most say to do I end up looking strange. I am eager to see what other answers you get.
Really I think we Native girls have a distinct advantage of not needing makeup to be beautiful so maybe its better to just say NO.
