Unfortunately your question isn't well written. I think the bottom line really is that blacks in general regardless of light or dark should stop disrespecting each other and pointing fingers towards our own sisters and brothers. I would personally like to see sisters unite and stop hating each other. As a race we act like a bucket of lobsters always pulling the one on the top back down. When we stop feeling the need to even ask questions like this, then we will have made a forward move. Dark, light, bright, blue...we are all still family and remember it takes a village to raise our children. Its not you and me it is truly US.

Let's get this straight ...Beyonce doesn't represent me and neither does Vanessa Williams with their straightened hair and fake blond locks. No it's just that the media only accepts the lighter blacks...it's that darker blacks aren't consided "nice enough looking" to be put in the fore front. i went to Argentina and the people there were surprised to see my dark skin color they thought all blacks in America were lightskinned. it's because of what's allowed on tv and what's considered beautiful...the effects of this can be seen in the ridiculousness of your question. The effects can be seen in the self-hate that is occurs in the African American community. "Oh you're so black" "Oh i want me a light skinned sistah with long hair and green eyes" NEWSFLASH that's not sistah. Racism doesn't only occur between two different races it occurs within our own race. this is a simple effect of the "white supreme" ideology that ruled America for so many years and unfortunatly it still does. Honey you're black and that's all you are to a racist white person...no matter what shade you are 40 years ago you would've been sitting right next to me at the back of the bus. DON"T GET IT TWISTED!

Sweetie, you are truly a fool in thinking that skin tone makes you any different or better than other blacks. You will not escape your own mental prison, by reinforcing the cage around it. For you see those that regard Blacks as inferior anyway, they don't see your "good hair", light skin, and whatever other physical aspects of yourself that convinces you that you are this wonderful creature, they only see a "ni@@a" that has exceptionally poor mastery of the English language. Self hate is not a good look on you.

It's an off chute of the racism learned and taught to them by white people which has become inbred. White people continue to regard lighter skinned blacks highly and open doors that they don't open for darker skinned blacks. Look at the myriad of darker skinned blacks being overlooked. Eg; Halle Berry gets an Oscar for that unbearable f*ck scene in Monsters Ball with Billy Bob Thorton, while darker skinned actresses such as Angela Basset, Vivica Fox, and Cicely Tyson have been over looked. They are much better actresses than she is and have much better work. They also have a dignity about them that Halle lacks. Part of the reason stems from slavery. Massa let his slave children (From the rape of female Africans) free before the darker skinned slaves. This is not something that black people use, it's something that white people promote.

Personally they say that the 80's was the era of light - skinned afro americans . Me being of a toned afro - native american mixture , I can honestly say that I would be happy enough to just see all african americans stop " black on black" , violence . If we use anything it should be our minds to get ahead in america as a whole...
