Light skinned people like obama ,coline powell,Beyonce Knowles Alicia Keys vanessa william and other light skin folks.they always seem to wanna get a head by useing lightskinned people evertime we do somthings great. its suppose to be a win for blacks.

When are people going to stop using shades of color to decide the value of a human being?
Probably when we better learn to value, love, appreciate and understand ourselves. That kind of self-esteem goes a long way towards being more tolerant towards and supportive of other people, their differences and their culture.
Being of mixed race has its own culture that is separate from the individual mixes that created the mix. Sometimes it's difficult for people who are not mixed to understand how mixed people feel.
I found a multi-cultural support group for racially mixed people for my family to get together with through United Way. United Way is free to call. I found United Way's phone number in the front of my phone book and ask for a support group for racially mixed people. I live in Atlanta, Georgia and they had several available.
It made more of a positive difference for me than I realized it would...to have support and encouragement from people just like me...on the inside. On the outside, we all looked different.

You assesment is illogical.A rational explanation for lighter skinned people getting ahead is that they have more of an advantage.Studies have been shown that lighter skinned people(of all cultures) have an advantage in the media and workplace....this has nothing to do with skill, potential or even attractiveness...which is why it's so unfair.

To get head? Do you mean get ahead? Do you really think that they are using people with lighter skin to get recognition? I personally think you are mistaken and this question is based on an opinion rather than a fact.

It is human nature not to be content with one has
The blacks want to become lighter
Whites want to darker
And the browns want to get lighter too.
Well that leaves the Chinese out ... sorry folks .. what do you guys like to morph (color wise) into
