My best friend just recently moved to Canada (NS) and I was wondering if I can still call her, like if she's in the US or would it cost more since it's another country. Also, would it still fall under my minutes like normal calls would? Say... if i called her after 9pm... and for that matter, do they even have Verizon Wireless in Canada. Sorry for all the questions but I'm not sure... help me out, thanks!

Supposedly, under America's Choice, a call to Canada would cost 49c/min, in addition to the # mins charged against your AC package. They give you the option of signing up to either North America's Choice, which expands your calling pan to Mexico and Canada, or their Int'l Plan, which lowers your rate to 10c/min to Canada.

However, I've called my cousin in Canada and the call comes up charged as if it were in the US, w/ no additional charges. Maybe because she's in Niagara Falls. Nova Scotia might be a bit different.

Nope, VZW services are only offered in the US. Canada has their own set of cellular carriers. Thus, the concept of roaming comes into play, esp across int'l borders.
