He can declare an emergency at the snap of a finger, and rule on his own - absolute power - it is very scary - ideally he would at least require the consensus of both heads of Congressional Chambers on every decision, plus there should be a clever automatic system for ensuring that democracy restores itself as soon as possible, but instead chances are that sooner or later one will abuse their powers and turn the US into a putin run nation.

a million. This bill does no longer supply the President the means to "close down the internet", only the element of the community located in the U. S.. 2. that's the main valuable way we at the instant have of struggling with a state-of-the-artwork, coordinated Cyber-terrorism attack on our community infrastructure. If Al Qaeda ever controlled to recruit only a pair good hackers (maximum Muslims suck with desktops), they might probably screw us up in a great, enormous way. think of all our economic records being wiped out, our communications disabled, the protection measures of our means plant life over-ridden and our missile safeguards compromised... it style of feels like technological information Fiction, yet I assure you; that's thoroughly obtainable. No pc or community is thoroughly safeguard. Any gadget could be compromised. evaluate this to be celeb Wars Missile protection for the internet. i'm no fan of expansive, invasive government; yet I desire this to Al Qaeda sending us lower back to the 18th Century with a pair keystrokes. EDIT: And for the checklist, i'm no longer only asserting this as a parrot for the Democrat occasion. i could help ANY President having this means. Bush, Obama, Clinton, McCain, Palin...whoever. The President is to blame for protecting the U. S. and that's the wonderful way we've of shielding our tech-reliant usa in the form of an emergency.
