Use Mp3 format after reducing the bit rate. Use music match jukebox for doing it.

According to ur Mobile, since not all formats played by all the mobiles. since in u r question it is not mentioned. so look at these and try for u r mobile:
RM format is the one which will take less space.
MP4 format also another one
MP3 format also the one which take less space (And is played by maximum all mobiles)
eAAC+.it reduces the size of the song for about 3/4 the mp3's size.but it is not supported by some handsets.instead u can try AAC,which is supported by many handset.so,it depends on ur handset.
