When you are in a bank, with the usual long queue, do you, at the back of your head, have a thought, or an imagination, that at some point, masked-men with guns would barge in the entrance to rob the bank and take everyone as hostages?
tell me about it.....
Is it just me or are hollywood movies screwing my brains?

Yes I have that quite a bit. I think its all the TV and media we watch. I wonder while I'm in line what I'm gonna do when they come in . . . What would I do? What could I do. Then I look at the cameras and I wonder if I'm being suspected. Just like when I'm in a store and I run into a person twice in an isle I feel like they are watching me because I might be shoplifting. . LOL I'm white! And black people think its just them who experience this.
I'm no thief but I dont know I guess I'm just paranoid or something. If I feel like I'm being watched in a store then I wont go back. I hate it. But back to your question yeah I feel like that alot. I imagine them coming in point a gun at everyone frantically and I find myself looking at everyone wondering if they could be the bank robber, Especially the people at the teller. I ask myself would I know if that teller was being robbed right now? Would I want to know. Its kinda silly but you just never do know and all the movies and media of bank robbers that are splashed across the TV its hard not to think of things like that when you are in a bank.

Good question, and no, I don't think it's the movies. This really happens. It happened to me. :o(
I think anywhere you are, you have to be vigilant. People in the queue are very bored, they scribble, they nap, they read the newspaper... it does no harm to look around, if you see a group of people entering a bank, you have time to get the hell out of there. Usually your instinct would kick in and tell you something is not right. Unfortunately many people are too sleepy to notice that, especially in a bank queue.
I think it's a great skill to be observant, and you should practice it if you like. Just look around at stuff, note details, and tune that sense of awareness. It can only help.

In this day and age, I believe a lot of people are thinking the same thing when they are in the bank.
Next time that you visit your local bank, just check out the face of the person that you stand behind, most people are vulnerable and afraid anytime they are dealing with money.
The likely hood of this happening to someone has increased by 60% in 2006.

actually it happened to me very recently, and yes it's all Hollywood, because i did not just think that it was a robbery, i had all the film in my brain (that's how long the queue was), and i was of course one of the brave people who Will rescue the whole thing and be rewarded big time later on :-)
