What makes me feel lonely?
knowing that people hate other people.
hearing the excuses they use for hating.
Television News programs.
Terrorism.
Violence.
War.
I felt most alone - at the death of my mother almost 10 years ago.
and again when my son died after an automobile accident almost 2 years ago.
What makes me not feel lonely?
Love
our family
knowing God
Listening to soothing music
the love of my husband
the love of my son and his wife
praying for other people who need love too.

People make me feel alone. I can be in a crowded room and I know that there would probably not be one person there that would ever fully understand me or how I think and feel. At those moments it is almost surreal, like a blur and you look around at all the people and they seem to melt into one big blob of sound, colour and movement. This doesn't happen often but it certainly makes an impact on me.

I've noticed that when I'm selfish I feel the most lonely.
I think this is because when I focus too much on myself, I begin to see everything I don't have - and then I start to feel very empty and alone.

you can be alone,but never lonely,and you can be with somebody and being lonely.
