I am not catholic, homosexual or from the UK but have been researching adoption for my freelance writing. What I want to know is if people going to catholic adoption agencies believe the same as the adoption agencies and don't want homosexual parents for their children then wouldn't homosexuals eventually stop coming to these agencies because they are not chosen? Presumably the right to choose the adoptive parents of their child still stays with the birthparents unless they decide not to choose and as far as I can see most faith-based agencies encourage open adoption and therefore the right of birthparents to choose the adoptive parents of their child.

Adoption laws allows only a valid couple to adopt a child. Thus, homosexuals are not acceptable as adopters unless a law provides for its legality.

I personally don't see where being catholic had anything to do with it. I highlly believe in open adoption as it takes away all the mystery, and hurt, and longing to find out who and what happened. In the long run is really best for everyone. If the person has the right to choose the adoptive parents that is up to them. There may come a time when there isn't a choice. then you have to make the best choice for your child.

this is a strange one, by using fact by potential of forcing the Catholic Church to no longer discriminate against homosexuals, they are form of ignoring and discriminating against their ideals. on the different hand, those ideals are themselves discriminatory. that is purely that lots of folk are into Catholicism and for some reason it has sway over many people and politics. yet whilst, case in point, you had a team that replaced into openly racist, or sexist, the government does not say, oh, somewhat, that is okay so which you would be racist and sexist, by using fact that is part of your perception device. And that's the comparable ingredient with homosexuality. maximum persons for sure do no longer choose for to be gay- why could they? All my gay friends wish they have been fascinated in the alternative intercourse, much less discrimination and extra determination of companions! So that is not approximately an 'immoral way of existence determination' or regardless of the Catholic Church could have you ever suspect. wherein case, there is actual no way the government might desire to pander to their nasty prejudiced perspectives. they might desire to take a stand against homophobia and hatred and tell the Church that what somewhat concerns is how nicely off the newborn is going to be, and to give up being so silly as to think of a newborn observed by potential of a gay couple is possibly to be subjected to 24 hour intercourse orgies or regardless of this is they think of gay people arise to. If there are 2 loving people prepared to grant a homeless newborn a loving abode then the Church might desire to do what Jesus could do, and enable them to have it, no count what gender those people are. p.s- do no longer entire communities of nuns (all the comparable intercourse) look after youngsters in orphanages???
